Mental Health Awareness Month

May is mental Health awareness month, we have made some great strides forward but we certainly still have a long way to go.

I’m lucky enough to have faught my demons and won! I’m doing well, extremely well, but many are not.

For today I think I’ll leave you with a song. A song that still rings true for me in many aspects, but there are so many other parts of it that simply show me how far I’ve come … I know longer ‘bleed just to know I’m alive‘, but outside of the Bear I still ‘don’t want the world to see me, because I don’t think they’ll understand‘. Enjoy!

Cheers!

~n

And I’d give up forever to touch you
‘Cause I know that you feel me somehow
You’re the closest to heaven that I’ll ever be
And I don’t want to go home right now

And all I can taste is this moment
And all I can breathe is your life
And sooner or later it’s over
I just don’t wanna miss you tonight

And I don’t want the world to see me
‘Cause I don’t think that they’d understand
When everything’s meant to be broken
I just want you to know who I am

And you can’t fight the tears that ain’t coming
Or the moment of truth in your lies
When everything feels like the movies
Yeah you bleed just to know you’re alive

And I don’t want the world to see me
‘Cause I don’t think that they’d understand
When everything’s meant to be broken
I just want you to know who I am

And I don’t want the world to see me
‘Cause I don’t think that they’d understand
When everything’s meant to be broken
I just want you to know who I am

And I don’t want the world to see me
‘Cause I don’t think that they’d understand
When everything’s meant to be broken
I just want you to know who I am

I just want you to know who I am
I just want you to know who I am
I just want you to know who I am

      1. Oh me too…I have been known to quote MCR lyrics when in angsty moods, lol. There’s something evocatively poetic about the way the words flow, it just expresses emotion so much easier than my own words ever could. 🙂
